Quality Payment Program by CMS has two paths for reporting either as MIPS OR APMs. Majority of clincials are following path of MIPS reporting for avoiding negative penalty of 4%. Quality Payment Program has consolidated existing Meaningful Use, Physician Quality Reporting System and Value Based Modifier into single reporting mechanism known as MIPS. MIPS reporting is in effect from 2017, if not reported satisfactorily negative penalty of 4% will be levied for Medicare Part B payments in 2019. SevaHealth registry is CMS Qualified MIPS Registry. Reporting Categories


Quality is new name of PQRS program run by CMS. Quality is weighted 60% of total MIPS score. Reporting is done by selecting atleast 6 individual measures.
Minimum Requirement: 6 Measures, 1 Outcome Measure OR 1 High Priority Measures
Weightage: 60%

Advancing Care Information

Advancing Care Information (ACI) is transition from CMS Meaningful Use program in year 2017.
Minimum Requirement: Base measures for EHR 2014 OR 2015
Weightage: 25%

Improvement Activities

Improvement activities are performed by physician OR clinic for improving patient care outcome.
Minimum Requirement: Upto 4 activities based on your practice
Weightage: 60%
Flexibilites: Rural practice can complete 1 High OR two Medium activities to complete
